If the taxpayer objects to the assessment, i.e., the value, the taxpayer must give written notice of the objection to the Assessor within 90 days of the mailing of the assessment notice. If the taxpayer fails to file written objection within the 90 day period, he forfeits his right to appeal the valuation. The Appeal Process

Step 5: Exchange evidence with the Assessor at least 15 days before the Board hearing and attend the hearing to present your case
Step 6: If unsatisfied with the Board's decision, appeal to the Administrative Law Court within 30 days
Step 7: As a last resort, appeal to the South Carolina Court of Appeals
